he XR Festival by CAPHE, concept and organization Opera Network, which took place in June 2024 during the Italian mobility in Florence with the participation of all project partners, served as a transdisciplinary application platform integrating three principal collaborative prototypes in XR and hybrid arts, in VR Opera and in the immersive visual languages, and dozens among participative workshops, lectures, presentations. The synergy among multidisciplinary researchers, artists, musicians, technologists and XR specialists achieved groundbreaking outcomes, advancing research, artistic participation and practice in hybrid environments to a new level. This was made possible through the creation of participatory communities, which actively engaged in every stage of the experimental processβfrom conceptual ideation and analysis to design, development, problem-solving, application and the final case studies. A key result of the XR Festival was the impact in the widely dissemination of CAPHE project, on different targeted audiences: public and private stakeholders such as Fine Arts Academy of Florence, Tuscany Region, Municipality of Florence and many other institutions, international multidisciplinary researchers, local and international communities of artists, musicians, sound engineers and technologists, University students in art, music and new technologies, art and music professors, general public from all over the world β tourists and residents. Around 1k of direct audience, and more than 10k indirect, in addition the publication of two newspapers articles in La Repubblica, one RAI TV interview, promotional materials in city’s high-traffic areas and on social media. A digital catalogue was published. A source of knowledge and collective action has been established, which has already had and will continue to have a significant impact across various levels in the sectors covered by CAPHE project.
